Raina becomes ninth Indian to score century on debut
Suresh Raina became the ninth India [ Images ]n batsman to score a hundred on a debut for India.
Raina, who replaced Yuvraj Singh [ Images ] in the team, drove a length ball outside the off stump straight past the bowler to complete the ton.
He is 59th in the overall list of centurions on debut.
Raina, who is an integral part of India's One-day team has played 98 ODIs, with three centuries in the kitty.
Raina was involved in crucial partnership with Sachin Tendulkar [ Images ] to bail India out of a precarious situation in the second Test against Sri Lanka [ Images ].
Three others (Lala Amarnath, Abbas Ali Baig & Gundappa Viswanath) have done so in the second innings of the debut Test - taking the tally of debut centurions for India to 12.
