Venus and Serena Williams wins 4th Grand Slam Title in French Open 2010

For the fourth time in a row the Williams sisters has won the Grand Slam double title at the French Open in Paris.

Serena Williams and Venus Williams has won a total of 12 major doubles title. During the French Open the Williams sisters beat Katarina Srebotnik and Kveta Peschke 6-2 and 6-3. This victory will be the second French Open doubles champion since 1999.
Serena and Venus are the third pair of women to have won four major titles consecutively, next to Martina Navratilova and Pam Shriver in 1983-84 and Gigi Fernandez and Natasha Zverova in 1992-93.
In the French Open quarterfinals no.1 seed Serena Williams was defeated by no. 7 seed Samantha Stousur 6-2, 6-7(2x) and 8-6 and Venus Williams lost in the fourth round.
Samantha Stousur of Australia has won the French Open quarterfinals for the second time in a row.
